Here is a quick overview of TQT's involvement in BFP.

History Of My Involvement in BFP

Ryokovv006

Hello everyone! I'm Phill, but you probably know me better as Ryokovv006 or Ecion. I first got hold of the RC2.0 version of BFP around mid 2001. However, due to my limited knowledge at the time, I couldn't get it operate and gave up.
I later became interested in Quake 3 editing, and while searching for some DBZ models found BFP again. This time it was RC2.8 - I downloaded it and had it running. Even though my machine wasn't of great spec. (PIII 450Mhz, GF2MX 32MB).

I decided to make a website about this game, telling others of its existence. It was only a Geocities website with a dodgy layout, but it became quite successful. Over 21000 hits at the time of writing this. The site had models and maps available to download, and even a few tutorials on BFP editing.

I came across the Majin Clan, -=M=-, one of the first BFP clans that I knew of. I joined, and remember fun times with MajinTrunks, Figma, TechnomanElvis, Zexeta and the others.

RC3 then became available and BFP became more active, and to my sites success I started my own clan called TQT, which has also been a clan for Quake 3 at one stage. It had well over 20 members at one point, and a total just higher than 40 over its complete life span.

But then things began to change, BFP1.0 was release and more and more custom models where emerging. The geocities hosting was always reaching its bandwidth limit, and there was no space for extra content to be uploaded. I had to move over to Gizba who offered 500MB of storage. It seemed too good to be true... It was. They deleted my account with no explanation after only a few months. By this time the clan was dieing off, and I decided to end it rather than having a clan with only a handful of active members left. I would have liked to return to -=M=-, but that had also died, and Zexeta had started his own clan, Saiyans Of Chaos, -[SC]-. So I then joined the Global Trailblazers, =GT=, clan insted. It was great while it lasted, but I struggled to join in with the online games due to my 56K connection, and so I left the clan.

I then found Multimania, the French version of Lycos. They offered decent hosting, but if you went over the bandwidth limit, your account would be destroyed, and this happened a few times. Now we had downloads available, BFP on the whole was more active again and so the TQT clan 'raised from the ashes', only to die yet again a few months later on.

I happened to change ISPs at this time, and my new one, NTLWorld, gave me 55MBs of web space with no advertising. This was great, I copied over my Multimania site to my new host, and everything was going right for awhile. I later hosted the website on my own server for awhile, before again changing hosts to Orange. And thats the site you see today. Even though BFP is pretty quiet these days, and I myself have also lost interst in it, I still continue to maintain this site for the newcomers who need it. :)

During all of this I've met many talented people. Mainly at Freedoms Forum, Pagoda and Fragacow. Like Mystic Mike, RiO, Styreta, BFPSpidy, The Saiyan, Losty, Kaden, Delerium, Mirai, and many more. But sadly, those forums are now gone or inactive.
